Although many users choose uninterruptible power supply (UPS) as a remedial device for power supply when the grid is powered off or the grid voltage is instantaneously dropped, the UPS appears to be overkill for voltage transient drops. Problems to be aware of during use

In the use of supercapacitors, the following issues should be noted:
1 Supercapacitors have a fixed polarity and should be confirmed before use.

2 Supercapacitors should be used at nominal voltage. Because when the capacitor voltage exceeds the nominal voltage, the electrolyte will be decomposed, and the capacitor will heat up, the capacity will decrease, and the internal resistance will increase, which will shorten its life.

3 Due to the existence of ESR, supercapacitors cannot be used in circuits with high frequency charge and discharge.

4 When the supercapacitors are used in series, there is a voltage equalization problem between the cells. Simple series connection can cause one or several single capacitors to be damaged due to overvoltage, thus affecting their overall performance.
